FPL is almost back and if your quarter finals of the Fantasy World Cup went as badly as mine then you have already started to look at your FPL team.
So, we have compiled three tables of information you should check out before you start building your team.
Double Gameweeks
The following are the double gameweeks that we know of so far:
| Gameweek 19 | Gameweek 20 | Gameweek 23 |
| Chelsea will play Man City and Fulham | Man City will play Man United and Spurs | Arsenal will play Brentford and Man City |
| Fulham will play Leicester and Chelsea | Spurs will play Arsenal and Man City | Man City will play Aston Villa and Arsenal |
As you can see, none of them are great fixtures but most of them have great options playing. We should be taking this into account for our teams but its not a gamechanger. Particularly as there is likely to be a lot of rotation.
FPL players still left in the world cup
All these players played at the world cup in Qatar in the semi-finals and final or third place playoff:
| Argentina | Morocco | France | Croatia |
| Emi Martinez Lisandro Martinez Romero MacAllister Alvarez
| Aguerd Ziyech | Lloris Areola Varane Saliba Konate | Perisic Kovacic |
Man United’s defence is not looking good for the first game based on who is left. Probably not something to take into account as I know a lot of us will be looking at them for the great fixture against Forest.
Everyone else will probably be fine, fit and healthy. Apart from Gabriel Jesus…
Yellow cards rule
In the past, any yellow card received in the Premier League, EFL, FA Cup, or Carabao Cup was totaled. A player would be disqualified from the following game, regardless of the competition, after receiving five yellow cards. The player would lose the following two games if they received 10 yellow cards. 15 would result in a three-game suspension.
However, now Yellow cards are only counted in the competition in which they are obtained. So now, the rules work like this:
- One-match ban if five yellow cards received before 19 Premier League fixtures (Dec. 26 round)
- Further two-match ban if 10 yellow cards received before 32 fixtures (weekend of March 30)
- Further three-match ban if 15 yellows received (no fixture limit)
Besides those who are already banned (which the game tells you) beware of these players who are close to a ban:
| Player | Yellow cards | Games until they have played 19 Premier League fixtures |
| Bailey | 4 | 4 |
| Caicedo | 4 | 5 |
| S Cook | 4 | 4 |
| Jesus | 4 | 5 |
| Hickey | 4 | 4 |
| Kane | 4 | 4 |
| Kehrer | 4 | 4 |
| Kristensen | 4 | 5 |
| Macallister | 4 | 5 |
| McGinn | 4 | 4 |
| Mckenna | 4 | 4 |
| Mitrovic | 4 | 4 |
| Onana | 4 | 4 |
| Ramsey | 4 | 4 |
| Robinson | 4 | 4 |
| Saliba | 4 | 5 |
| Salisu | 4 | 4 |
| Schar | 4 | 4 |
| Smith | 4 | 4 |
| Joel Ward | 4 | 5 |
| Worrall | 4 | 4 |
