Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 15 Preview

I’ve put this Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 15 preview off in part due to personal commitments… but also because there has been a bit of turmoil in FPL this week. Saka being injured or not injured. Haaland limping around, but then suddenly being back in training. The entire Foden dilemma, which has done my head in for weeks now.

Why do we put ourselves through all this?

Anyway, on to the fun stuff!

Talking Points

There’s only one thing on my mind this week. Based on what I’ve seen on FPL Reddit and Twitter alike, it’s the same for most Fantasy Premier League players.

Fod-in or Fod-out?

It’s a classic FPL Guardiaola conundrum.

It’s a plum fixture againnst Fulham, and – if he starts – then he can get double digits.

Of course, if you drop him then he will definitely do this. If you play him, he will probably get one point.

I think he probably has to be kept – the fixture is too good. Swallow the pain for the next two weeks, and wait as long as possible now to see if we get leaked team news.

The Fixture Ticker

As we all have the free wildcard after the next two gameweeks, this is only a two week fixture ticker. Playing fixtures at this point is still the sensible thing, but it’s obviously going to be very high variance at the moment.

Summary – If you don’t have three Man City assets by now, I don’t know what you’re doing. Get Kev if you can; keep Foden if you’ve got him.

Everton and Bournemouth are boring, and Brighton are inconsistent (although Trossard/Trollard is suddenly back in great form).

Man U’s attack is still uninspiring, but they have a nice pair of defensive fixtures. Not sure it’s worth making a transfer over, however, especially since Dalot is on four yellow cards.

Should I Sell?

Kepa – No. Unless you have no goalkeeper cover, then I can’t see there is a need to sell him.

Schar – He is somehow the most transferred out player, but Howe said he was fully fit for this game against a pretty rubbish Southampton team. Keep him.

Perisic – Yes. Get rid. Not enough minutes to justify that pricetag.

Zaha – Hard to argue against selling him now, to be honest. He has been playing so wide. The only thing that makes me hesitate is that Edouard is injured, so Zaha could end up playing through the middle again. They play on Sunday though, so we won’t get leaked team news.

Son – He’s injured. Get rid.

Toney – He picked up a yellow card, so is banned, and then plays Man City after that. Get rid.

Haaland – He seems to be better. I’m probably holding.

Should I Buy?

Dalot – No, he has four yellow cards. Chances are high that you only get 1 game in the next two.

Castagne – Yeah, I don’t hate it. Good fixtures, the team has turned it around, and he has attacking potential.

Saliba – No. Also on 4 yellows.

Almiron – Incredible form. One good fixture, one okay. He’s one of three midfielders to consider.

Trossard – Has been great all season, and has two good fixtures. One of the other midfielders to consider. Played out of position striker last week.

Rashford – Has played OOP striker several times this season. Getting loads of chances in a United team that looks good. One good fixture and one excellent one. The third midfielder to consider.

De Bruyne – Don’t hate it, but suspect you are selling Foden to get him. If you are moving Salah to him, then it’s a definite yes.

Wilson – Apparently he has a cold. That’s not great news. Try and wait as late as possible… but he plays on Sunday, so we probably won’t get news.

Mitrovic – Don’t bring him in against the best defence in the league.

Jesus – Also on 4 yellow cards, and with only one good fixture.

My Moves

I am waiting as late as possible for leaked team news.

Everyone else has made early moves, so I am hoping this gives me an advantage, particularly as eight teams play a 3pm kick-off on Saturday.

Rashford, Trossard and Almiron are all on my mind. I think Zaha is on the chopping block for me. I was almost definitely going to move Toney to Wilson for this weekend, but this cold has made me nervous. I could get Solanke instead, but I don’t like him and I have two free moves, but can’t change Foden to De Bruyne, so… what’s the point?

I just don’t know right now. So, I will wait. Watch this space, and check out my Gameweek 15 review to see how it all turned out!

(Spoiler alert: badly)
